Default Just how effective is Lieutenant's Helm?

Has there been any tests done on it?

Reduces hexed time by about 60%

EDIT: Just remember that this is not always a good thing, Wastrel's Worry will own you if you wear a L. Helm :P

I was always under the impression that it was a 50% hex time reduction, but ive never done much testing so it could possibly be slighty more or less.

I believe it's 50%, but then "one-onethousand, two-onethousand..." isn't exactly cesium clock accuracy.

You want the dwarven helm. Look up the collectors in the desert on GuildWiki.

Wastrels, Lightning Surge, and Incidiary Bonds should actually not do anything against someone who has 50% hex length reduction. I'm not entirely sure on this, but whenever I've used one of those three in the past against a ghostly hero (who has quick recovery from hexes I believe) they've done no damage.

The wording says that after three seconds the target suffers the effect, the 3 seconds is not technically the duration. If the hex ends before the three seconds is up, no damage occurs. It should work the same way as if the hex was removed by a hex removal spell.

Yes, 3 seconds is the duration of the hex. Just wear one in Fissure of Woe and walk up to your friendly neighborhood Dryder. Or even the Stalkers outside of ToA, who use Wastrel's. Watch in amazement how quickly you die. Hexes which have effects as they end, just means that you're gonna get to the bad stuff twice as fast; the Helm doesn't remove a hex, it shortens the duration. Already been tested.

Well i think it is fine either way. It is not going to have that dramatic of an effect on PvP and if you want one and feel you should whine til it is nerfed just go buy one. Fortunatley as of yet no one has whined on this thread, but rest assured you can buy it.
